Hatsu to Launch New Transatlantic Service
Two Direct Calls at Mexico Ports Slated

Hatsu Marine Limited will commence weekly service to Mexico in June with the launching of a new service linking North Europe with the US East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico ports. The service, provided in partnership with CMA/CGM and China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), will be known as EUG.

In addition to serving the growing US-Mexico trades, the new service will also provide a direct transit from Houston to Europe, and will allow Hatsu to link the fast-growing Mexican market with its European feeder and global networks over the major North European ports.

The service will deploy five ships, each with an estimated 2,800 TEU. The vessels will operate at a service speed of 20.5 knots and offer approximately 350 reefer plugs. Hatsu will contribute one vessel, while the other lines will supply two each.

"This is an initial step into the direct Mexico market for an Evergreen Group carrier," said a Hatsu Marine spokesperson. "This marketplace and our customers have been eager for our company to make a direct presence and we see significant potential in bringing a much-needed service here."

The first sailing will take place on June 4 from Le Havre . Port rotation is as follows:

Le Havre - Antwerp - Rotterdam - Bremerhaven - Charleston - Vera Cruz - Altamira - Houston - Le Havre.
